[Appraisal]: 18TB Whitebox NAS/Storage Server [COMPLETE]

I just built a new storage server and am probably going to put the one I've been using for the past 1.5 years up for sale. Just trying to put some feelers out there as to what it might command on the marketplace right now.

  • CPU: Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz Quad Core CPU
  • MB: DFI Blood Iron P35 LGA 775 board
  • RAM: 8GB DDR2 RAM
  • RAID Card: Dell Perc 6i + 2x SAS->4xSATA cables
  • OS/Cache Drive: 128GB SSD (Crucial CT128M4SSD2)
  • RAID Drives: 8x 2TB Toshiba DT01ACA200 (rebranded Hitachi Deskstars) SATAIII Drives + 1 sealed/unopened drive that I kept as a spare in case of drive failure (which never happened)
  • Case: NZXT Tempest 210

This server was used to stream media so very little writing was done to the drives. They have been tested and in excellent working condition. The whole system will ship in the original NZXT Tempest box. This would be the perfect box for an UnRAID server. It's much more powerful than any prebuild NAS system you could buy. Considering you'd spend close to $1000 for a pre-built DISKLESS NAS I'd imagine this will be a bargain when I put it up for sale.
