What's wrong with my mouse?

I got a FUNC MS-3 and every time I set it down the mouse after lifting it, the cursor moves.

I'm fine with the cursor moving a little when I lift it up, but the cursor moving when I set it back down again is INSANELY ANNOYING. My old mouse never had this problem.

As you would imagine, it's made gaming much more difficult.

How do I fix this?

Thanks for reading .smile.gif

how much is the cursor moving when you set it down?
what kind of surface are you using the mouse on?
is there any dust or crumbs stuck in the lense?
is the mouse updated with the latest and or most stable firmware?
does it only happen while gaming or general desktop use?

It's pretty significant, especially in gaming.

Here's a diagram to give you an idea. I'm NOT shifting my hand at all, I'm setting it down exactly where it was before. Same way I did with my old mouse where I didn't have this issue.

It's a cloth surface, no dust or crumbs (It's a brand new mouse), it's using the default microsoft drivers and they're up to date, and it happens all the time. Gaming or otherwise.

after doing some quick research id suggest that you install and update the software from Func's website and see if there are any changes.
I'm aware that the mouse is supposed to be plug and play but perhaps it'll compensate for or fix the issue you are having.
http://www.func.net/en/support/ms-3-support/

other than that I do not know, perhaps another member thats ran into this issue can help you further or you can contact func support, maybe you have a faulty device.

also did you try another surface to see if you get the same result? maybe the avago 9500 doesnt like the surface you are tracking on.
