If you have upgrade fever (in the same boat brah) then the 780TI is THE GOAT ebrag card.

As i said, the EVGA ACX SC 780 is perfect for you. Its alot cheaper than it used to be and you should grab one if you still have that fever tongue.gif

Believe it or not, all of you guys have been a great help. I think I'll likely go with a single motherload (or ebrag!) GTX 780Ti for now and then pick up another when I get the funds. Part of the reason is that at this point I wish I had done something similar to this at the time I built this system rather than buying 2 660s right off the bat. If I had, at this point I might have been considering adding a second 770 instead of replacing two cards.

Has anyone seen an article speculating when the non-reference Tis may be released? I'm a little hesitant to buy a card that has a reference cooler on it based on some of the OC benchmark temps that I've seen under load.

Also, as per fedrosishere's suggestion among others, I probably will go with EVGA's ACX cooler. The 660s that I have now run the ASUS DirectCU II and are awesome, but I've heard nothing but good things about EVGA's.

I have one more issue that you guys might care to comment on: For the build that I have, is getting say 2 GTX 780 Tis like putting a $5000 sound system into a $500 car? I mean in terms of the mobo/processor combo that I have (Core i5 3570k, ASRock Z77 Extreme4). I realize that I will likely need to swap up to a 1000W or 1200W PSU if I wanted to go SLI, as my 900W might be pushed to its limit. I haven't had any inkling (sp?) that my processor has been a bottleneck point at all, but just curious. It actually has performed extremely well for me, but I might reconsider where I will allocate some $ if the rest of my system needs some attention.

Thanks again for your guys' input.

Just delid and get that sucker to 4.5+ tweak the memory a bit and you'll be set until DDR4.

Going from 3570k to 4670k is insanity. A good clocking 3570k should still easily outdo an average clocking 4670k lol...
Besides that, Hyperthreading is useless in 99.99% of games. Very little applications take advantage of hyperthreading, but I'm sure you already know that thumb.gif

Even if you had a 4.8Ghz+ 2500k I would still try to convince you not to upgrade.

Also, 780TI SLI is mega super duper overkill for a single screen (unless 4k res). And this is coming from someone who plays BF4 at the following FPS:

if 900 watts of PSU is enough to run 2 R9 290's which are more power hungry i doubt you need anything bigger

also about the non-ref. cards

i heard from my lovely peeps at MSY(aussie version of newegg)

they are getting Msi gaming editions within the next month

i cannot gaurantee you this but lets just take it as a rumour

LOL! The OP plays BF4 which takes advantage of the HT. As seen by all the latest benchmarks, the i7s and some AMD 8core CPUs outperform the i5s(unlike other games). Even DICE said that bf4 utilizes more than four cores. However the increase in FPS is not that great. Stick to your i5. It is still good.

We need shilka for the PSU! well i am sure a 850 PSU will run two 780ti's with alot of headroom left.

EDIT: DO NOT GET MSI.... THEY ALWAYS HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE FINS OR FANS...
EVGA is the way to go.

850 psu is enough for 780ti sli.
However if you plan to overclock everything you may want to look at a higher rated unit.

780ti sli with an oc cpu will be fine.

Single 680 lightning at 1306/7000 and 3930k @ 4.5
I value 120fps minimum over pretty gfx as I use Lightboost strobing in 2d

I hear ya. I run lightboost as well. That's why I'm, staying at mostly medium for now.
