Man like last year I sold two ref 4890 with ek blocks for 66 bucks or something ridiculous like that. They are very different cards on water.

The reason the guy sold it for pretty cheap, as I found out through the BIOS version, was because the card probably couldn't go past a certain point and he tried flashing the 4890 BE BIOS on there which gave higher voltage/clocks. Turns out, it backfired. Badly. The card kept downclocking and performance was terrible.

My benches in games were throwing up frames that were beneath my GTS 250 by more than 10. Idiot probably never made a backup copy of the original BIOS, screwed the card and sold it for cheap.

Anyway, I managed to flash a Sapphire BIOS on there and it booted up fine. Frames are as it should be now and managed to pull of 35-45 FPS in BF4 @1366x768 on ultra with 2xMSAA. So the joke's on him + got an awesome deal biggrin.gifthumb.gif
