ATi Saphire x700 problem

Hey guys,

So basically i've had this card for a while now (about a year) and so far no problems-- until now i have two screens running off of this card which is no problem when i am simply navigating windows but when i turn on a game like battlefield 2142 it plays well for an hour or so but when that hour is up the screens start to flash on and off (like black then back on then black again) this repeats for awhile until i close the game and go back to just my desktop. i dont think its a problem with the game because it does it with more than just one game and sometimes it does it if im running other graphics-heavy programs.

Has anyone ever heard of this? PLEASE HELP...

J

What other games programs does it happen with? BF2 and 2142 are known for being pretty buggy, and can crash quite a bit.

Which driver version are you using? Trying many different Catalyst driver versions is the first step to try and fix crashing.

Proper way to do it is:
Uninstall drivers (ATI's uninstall utility works well)
Restart your PC
Use DriverCleaner Pro to delete any left over driver files (not necessary but recommended)
Restart your PC
Reinstall new drivers
Restart your PC
Update your driver settings and test for stability.
