MD has just released a new version of the driver : Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.2. 13.11 This is the fifth beta version released publicly , it seems that is the first time appeared in Beta decimal number .
New driver compiled on November 7 , as usual support Radeon HD 5000/5000M series and newer models graphics, support for Windows 7 SP1/8/8.1 32/64 bit systems. The latest version of Linux or Beta 6.
There are three updates :
1 , "Call of Duty : ghost" improved anti-aliasing performance , update Crossfire configuration file
2, Radeon R9 290 Series : PowerTunes updated to reduce the fan speed fluctuation
Before we already know , R9 290X default fan speed limit is full of 40%, R9 290 before posting relaxed to 47% , can be more prolonged operation at high frequencies, but the power consumption, noise will be significantly increased.
AMD here a little more vague, neither singling R9 290, the original use of the "Series" ( series ) once, did not say reduce the fan speed , but with a "variance" ( variable ) . Single literally through this update can be understood as the rotation of the fan is more stable, thus ensuring the stability of graphics cards .
I hope not really lowered the R9 290 fan speed , otherwise we actually used and evaluation are unlikely to see the same.
3, to solve some of the older DX9 program occasionally crash
Of course, as usual, it also contains all previous Beta test version of the update included.Source
