And that is normal for SLI? I've never done an SLI build before.

Yes. That is completely normal. Unless you invest in more high end board that can gives you native 2x pcie gen 3 x16. From what i read, i dont think it is noticeable for regular user between a card running at 16x speed or 8x speed.
OP, just to double check - you need an old school PCI slot, right?

Correct. My current Linksys wireless card is ooooooold. I've used it in 3 different builds. I never though that's something I should upgrade. Should I? I don't know what's out there for wireless adapters.

About the EVGA 780 GTX Ti Superclocked edition. Is all EVGA did was slide GPU/Memory clocks in EVGA Precision and that's all? If I wanted my stock Ti to be a superclocked all I would do is just slide the bars over instead of paying the extra money. Easy as that?

Generally speaking, 4770k with a nice board (nothing too fancy, up to 200$ or so, like Asus Hero) with 2x8GB of ram would be a good choice.

However, having in mind your needs, which is playing BF4 at 120HZ (where minimum FPS will also be important) and GTX 780SLI, you might also want to consider going for x79, with one of Asus Rampage boards (Extreme/Formula), 4930k and 4x4GB of ram.

I mean, I usually recommend z87 for gaming with up to 2 cards, so this approach would be cheaper and more "optimized". X79 if you want to go all out.

Your PCI requirement will limit your MB choice, though.

honestly, it is not that hard at all to overclock a card. In fact, the whole process is enjoyable for me. But, if you are not confident to start overclocking, paying the extra $10/$20 might be worth it. It guarantees a higher clock right out of the box.
