im wondering whether to upgrade the single GPU and sell this one fot the difference in cost ot to simply buy another 570 for SLI?

My mobo is the Asus Sabertooth TUF X58. il also be upgrading my RAM frim 6GB to 12 and the CPU is an i7 950

What would be faster?

While my vote will be something from Team Green, Jindaman makes a good point. Any of the latest generation of cards should give you better performance than a 570 in SLI. The one you have is already 3 years old, and any you find these days you have no idea how hard they have been used by the previous owners - and if you can find new in box ones, the cost is almost as much as a just released card.
