Camber 0.8 to improve steering, toe 7 which zeroes it out so those drifts are easier to actually manage. 34/33psi.

Nord Tourist 9:57s, still had 8L in tank on finish, started with 15L.

It's like a spinning coffin on wheels.

I've had no issues, not one with any side views or shifting. Everything works for me as always. I don't use auto shifter nor auto clutch in AC, I have H-shifter and 3 pedals setup in the controls to avoid any AC nonsensical helpers/ruiners of driving.

Yeah the car loses traction very easily. The reason why it was in automatic is because I jumped right into the game without adjusting the options first and it was just something I came across. In manual its better but it still for some reason has some tough moments transitioning from 2nd to 3rd. The thing is I am using a Xbox One controller, so I I have a few assistance options enabled.

How do I remove that annoying rear view? It cant be disabled using the side bar and I havent found an option in the settings menu.

Camera angles still screwed and pretty much on every car that I have tried so far. No idea whats up. Also I have sent Asetto Corsa an e-mail asking if they could add the black rims variant of the LaFerrari, lets hope they reply and implement it along the patch which is supposed to come with the Red Pack.

You can add/edit textures for any car and it's part.
Your config must be messed up, hard to tell what you mean without pictures.
Rear view only activates when I press review key to look back, so dunno why you want it disabled altogether, unbind the key? Or you mean F1 cycle cams and disable 3rd person view? AC can't do that.
It is possible that the autoclutch with automatic h-shifter is not setup correctly for some cars and you may get shifting issues, in such a case probably report to Kunos. But it's weird since I bet even the shortest shift I can do would probably work fine and the rev matching wouldn't care since it kind of disables itself when you press the clutch.

Why don't you just do this yourself?

  • Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\dev\skin_templates\template ferrari laferrari (default)
  • Open RIM_base and RIM_blur in a picture editor that can handle more than one layer
  • Edit it so the silver/white is black
  • Save as RIM_base and RIM_blur in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\ferrari_laferrari\skins\[colour] (default)
  • Load up the game and enjoy black rims

No offence, but they aren't even going to open your email, and if they did, they aren't going to do something as trivial as this. Especially since all of them are putting pretty much all of their effort into making more content and porting the game over to consoles, doing something like making black rims can easily be done by someone who has basic photo editing skills.

Or play LFS tongue.gif Rim color is editable in the car setup biggrin.gif Darn AC can't still get basic features that very very old games have. I know this is kind of trivial feature but there are some pro gaming/league features that AC desperately needs to have any chance to retain the pros. Personally, that console porting is just a $$$ thing that will bring in even more nublets into AC that already suffers from noobola.

Yeah I was able to get rid of the rear view mirror by using F11 or something of that sort in the upper row. The problem with the black LaFerrari rims is that my alterations and the mods I have tried do not actually look like the real thing. I believe the actual Ferrari Black rims are matte black where the ones found in mods or in my alteration they are metallic black and due to the lighting appear dark grey instead of actual black. Below I have posted screenshots showcasing the issue. Something like this must be done properly and by the developer. Camera angles still getting on my nerves...

F11 should be rear view mirror I think. Which I always use since I only have 1 screen so I always have a rear view mirror when driving. Of course my view is always in cockpit. I don't know if and how AC allows change of materials, I think they didn't bother with that. And it's probably pre set in the model editor where materials could be defined, usually are defined at.

Watching Salomondrin made me want to have a Viper ACR in Assetto Corsa.

I bought the Japanese Pack due to the fact that it was just $4 but I did not bother trying any of its content yet. Heard the cars models are lacking and the engine sounds are awful but I refrain from drawing any conclusions until I try it out myself. I must also add that I am not a drift fan, especially in AC. Also instead of the Porsche pack they should just make a DLC including only German cars and then feature multiple Porsches. Specific brand packs are boring.

Has anyone tried Sim Racing System for online races? Are there enough active users for it to be worth the download? Specifically I would be hoping to race against others in NA and not need to deal with a bad ping to EU.
Sim Racing System what?

Honestly if you want decent racing you need to get into leagues which are very very few in AC and most often the pro leagues are limited to GT cars which means high aero modern race cars. There are AC communities with their own little weekend races and amateur leagues but they are quite sub par when it comes to driver quality, it's just your everyday Joe's from public servers.

All racing sims have very few people online, about 1500 usually.
Dunno about $racing, haven't seen proper current online users statistics. It's more NA focused and more expensive as a result as well of it's milking model.

RaceDepartment is paid and has some organized races for different regions for example but they are not very fast, I've checked and didn't join.

The most competitive I know about is Reddit ACRL but since my friend left it for rF2 I don't know in what state it is now and who's racing there anymore. Again I see EU and NA there.

I don't really do leagues anymore, not in AC, the ones that would fit my amateur level and don't require me to prepare 2 weeks for 1 race are full of rookies and complainers. So either you play for fun on any server you like or you gotta go all the way to ACRL to get a good racing experience with people that are fair and fast and won't get butthurt when you beat them. There is nothing worse than winning too much and the whole community rage quitting and complaining as a result.

I would definitely qualify as an "everyday Joe". I'm not looking for anything super competitive, more just a well organized system to find fun races with clean drivers. I would suggest looking into sim racing system, it's an app that you install into Assetto Corsa (I haven't tried it yet).
