I buy plenty of early access games, I'm just saying there's really no point I complaining when you get less than you expected, it's part of the risk you are taking.

Everything that was advertised during early access for the base game is in the final game with the exception of the RUF Yellowbird. That was the only car they didn't advertise or promise and they gave it to us for free.

I get what you'r saying and I agree they made no promises, but I also agree this is lacking content. I think most people including myself thought they would have had more content before releasing this as a "full game". There wasn't even enough tracks for them to make a proper career mode, which really shows how half-assed the base content is.

People complained about Forza 5 lacking content and doing this, but at least they had enough tracks to make a decent single player experience before trying to double dip in your wallet.

I think the amount of modders out there will justify the fact that the game might be missing some content. Not only that, but the game also JUST came out. And while the "Dream Pack DLC" that's coming out soon might cost some money, other games like rFactor and iRacing are not only subscription based, but also much more expensive than Assetto Corsa is. Judging by how complete Assetto Corsa feels, I feel like the price is very low, especially during sales.

I'm pretty sure there are free tracks and cars in the pipeline but expecting a laser scanned Nordschleife to be included for free is crazy. The amount of man hours required to build a track like that is way more than your average circuit. Sim racing is a niche market, there aren't 10 million game sales to subsidize content like that.

They also started scanning in December 2013 so it's taken more than a year and it's still not done yet. Although I assume the delay over the last few days is probably due to licensing issues. They were planning on releasing it on the 31st of December.

I'd love to visit the Nordschleife and drive it in person and it's on my bucket list, but in a racing game / sim I think of it as trash. In an interview with the producers of Assetto Corsa they said they didn't care to make the track either.
Racing with friends on Nordschleife someone always wrecks and it basically just kills the race every time because people just bail.

The day they make any worthwhile track I'll throw them a few bucks. It just sucks they are getting pressed into making this waste of time instead of a proper track like Suzuka.

I agree, its not a track I really enjoy beyond the occasional hotlap. Extremely overrated track as far as actual racing goes.

Agreed, the only major appeal to this sim is the laser scanned tracks, and they have so few. This sim is going to end up relying on community made content at this point and it wont stand a chance against rFactor 2, especially with the physics model and lack of proper racing features.

It won't stand up against rFactor 2 which has less official content, fewer quality mods, is far more expensive, and an even slower development cycle? Am I missing something? Physics of Assetto Corsa are often preferred over rFactor2 while the FFB of rFactor2 is preferred. Regardless, it's opinion.

There are at least 3 different modded versions of Suzuka and 2 of them are very high quality. The Nordschleife won the poll for what track most people wanted and it was by a landslide. Maybe you don't want it, but the majority of people do. Circuit de la Sarthe was also going to be done, but it was apparently much more expensive than even the Nordschleife.

The career mode was never a secret. They said it would not be a Gran Turismo or Forza like experience. If you thought it would be it is your fault for not reading before buying.

If you were comparing them 6 months ago I would agree without question, but rFactor 2 in it's current state (which is still very much unfinished) is the best current-gen offline sim (AC, rF2, pcars). The price is steep, but it's very much worth it if you like to race. If all you like to do is hotlap, AC may be the better choice due to price.
