hey guys so about a month or so ago i started experiencing problems while i was gaming so much it got to the point that one day it just started turning off anytime i watched youtube so i had the idea of taking out the gpu cleaning it and the case and that didnt help so next i switched the 6 pin connectors that fixed the problem for about another month now all my 6 pins are not working on my hd6950 i assume its the pins because i can still use onboard and the powersupply seems to be working if i take out the gpu. I dont have access to another psu or gpu to more tests what would you guys recommend?

PSU: Consair 750tx
GPU: hd6950 2gb reference card.

If you switched 6 pin connectors and it worked fine, and now it doesn't... That leads me to believe it is the PSU.

That's the longest run-on sentence I've ever seen.

That aside, sounds like your PSU has failed, considering you were OK by swapping the PCIe power connection, the swapped again, and now it's not working.

my apologies did you not breath when you read it? I wonder if my meaning was harder for you to understand that way?

I know this isn't a grammar forum, but yeah, I had a hard time understanding it the first time I read it. If English isn't your native language, I'd say you're doing OK. If it is, strike newspaper editor off your list of future jobs. =)
