Went very slow (I'm pretty good with the dremel, but you really can't get perfect
lines with it, especially not enough to rely on like this with 1 shot to get right and no way to fix it if you don't), used masking tape. Then, used a file, pushed it back and forth slowly slightly angled.
As you can see, it looks awful.
I thought there'd be like... a hotknife or something? Even if these lines were straight, the problems are:
* that plasticy hanging stuff that you can almost pick at at the edges. I guess fine grit might take care of that but...
* Sheen is always wrong. It's never that polished plastic, or in this case, the Softouch bitfenix plastic. You now, like on the prodigy, Im sure you guys have seen bitfenix cases at a store or something. that velvety plastic.
Guess I'll have to take another route. I'm just not sure the best way to do it. I google stuff like 'LCD mod', 'TFT mod', 'Display mod' and you find some people who look like they did it right. Then again, pictures can be very deceiving on this sort of thing (i guess as long as it's good enough online to win motm amirite?)
This guy primed and painted so totally different sheen. Can't do that here, but i guess i know if you can paint over you can do it...
Probably looks like crap. Who knows. I posted a comment on his youtube video but dunno if he'll reply to that (or i'll even see his reply).
