Only 8GB/32GB is showing up in BIOS for me

I have 4 x 8GB G Skill Ripjaws, and only 1 is showing up in BIOS for me. I have an Asus P9X79 PRO mobo.

I went to the BIOS and the A1 DRAM slot is ok, the B1 slot doesn't show anything in there, and the C1 and D1 slots were listed as abnormal.

I tried reseating the RAM, but when I turned the computer back on, it started then shut right off immediately and wouldn't turn back on again. I have to disconnect and reconnect the power to be able to try turning it on again, but it did the same thing.

I took the three pieces of RAM that weren't working out and booted up, but nothing showed up on my moniter on boot up. Also, I couldn't turn the computer off with the power button on the case or on the mobo.

I'm really stuck here. Please help!

Check your CPU socket for bent pins, if you don't mind upload a pic of your socket pins.

What speed is the RAM. Try using other DIMMs to see if the RAM is issue or mobo is issue.

I will upload a picture of the socket pins within a day or two.

The speed of the ram is 1333 MHz I believe. As I said, I took all the defective RAM sticks out and booted up with only the 1 good one, and that is when I could turn the computer on, but it didn't even go into POST, and I had to manually shut the power off from the back of the case.

I would rotate through all of the memory sticks one at a time and record results. Also if you motherboard has debug LCD panel that can be really useful smile.gif
