Speakers not as loud as they used to be

I have Logitech Z Cinemas that I bought about 3 years ago from someone on here. They worked fine up until last night. Now the speakers have never been incredibly loud, but they are loud enough to have someone complain to the RA at half volume. However, I was playing music last night, and again right now, and they aren't NEARLY as loud as they were a few days ago. The speakers used to rattle my room at half volume and now I can't get that rattle at full blast. The speakers and sub woofer sounds fine, no rattling, the speakers aren't substantially louder than the sub or vice versa. This makes me believe there's something wrong via software. What are the odds BOTH of my left and right speakers blow (or get damaged) AND the sub blows too? I mean wouldn't the sub blow but my speakers would be fine or maybe my left speaker would blow but my right speaker and sub would be fine? I also rarely set my volume over half way, usually keep the volume set at 20-30%. Now there's no way ALL my speakers have coincidentally blown at the same time from me playing music at less than a third of what they can play. I know nothing about audio, but that's just ridiculous.

So then, what could it be? I have reinstalled audio drivers, Logitech Z cinema drivers, and unplugged and plugged the cables back in.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Ughhh no.... If it were my hearing then I'd be making a thread on how I can't hear anything else either... I feel less vibration too, do I also have nerve damage?

What's up with so many more trolls on OCN?

There are 3 different wires connecting the pc to the sub (via usb), and the sub to each speaker. Are you saying maybe something's wrong with the usb perhaps?

It could be just a wire being bent over time that has separated. I had the same issue with my speakers and I cut the bad part out and spliced it back and it worked great afterwards.
