You should be able to get a nice overclock on that 965 with that cooler. It's what i was using before going to water. It actually cooled better than an antec kuhler 620 in push/pull. My only worry would be your board. Not sure it'll be able to provide the power needed for a high OC.

You think so, I've thought that it would struggle a bit. Probably pick one up on daily deals at some point when I can't pass up the bargain... Lol.. Yah the cooler comes in tomorrow and I can't wait. What do you think about water cooling, Pro/ any cons u can think of. Where do you think I could get it at. 4ghz or is that to much

well the pros are obvious, the cons i would say are price and maintenance.

You will get to 3.8Ghz, thats my guess, but you might get higher. I would strongly recommend adding a second fan on that cooler for pull/push. That's what i did and it really helped my temps.

A second fan on the cooler?? You don't think the antec 900 has enough air movement through it to alleviate the heat. Right now she stays pretty cool but when you start over locking as I've read the heat builds quick. I appreciate the dialogue about it because I've never done it before

I have the 965 black edition, its a pretty decent overclocker, its fun messing with it too.

Having that cooler in piush/pull is what made it better then some AIO water solutions. And i also had an Antec 900 when using this cooler, so just a suggestion, have it pointing towards the rear 120mm fan and not the top 200mm. This yielded the best results for me.
