Looking for an O-Ring sugestion for my Gigabyte Aivia Osmium (mx red)

Thread Starter
I finally broke down and got my self a mechanical keyboard a while back the Gigabyte Aivia Osmium (mx red), after using it like many I have to say I really love it and I dont think I will ever go back to to the domed type again.

The only problem I have is how loud the keys are when they "bottom out" and its my understanding that O-Ring's can help reduce this. So my question is which type to get?...I like the key articulation and all that I just want something that is going to reduce the noise from the "bottoming out" of the keyboard.

So what do you guys think Red (40A-L), Blue (40A-R) or the Black (50A-R)

Try an O-Ring sampler pack, pretty much the only way to know.

Couldn't find any other sampler packs.

The problem is that shipping is so expensive for me to get something from the US that its not really a cost effective to order then sampler THEN order the o-ring set...to bad I couldn't just get the rings I dont need the key caps or the switches.

So apparently, according to WASD on a comment about the different sounds all the o-rings sound the same, the only difference is the feel.

50A-R's were used. This video was made before we had different models. However, keep in mind that the sound is basically identical with all O-ring models. The way they feel is the main difference.

After some research I desired to go with the 40A-L's primarily after reading the two posts from geekhack.org
