if you're gaming @2650x1060, then you might need SLI/CF with at least 3GB of video memory. do you have preference? nVidia or AMD?

Interesting. Also keep in mind, I intend to stay with the Tri SLI config. As you can see in my sig, I haven't done anything to this rig since I built it years ago & I've literally been out of the graphics card loop. When I built, I thought I needed the biggest, baddest cards on the market. This thinking just cost me a lot of extra cash unnecessarily, because I could've gotten the same performance with 3 lesser cards. I'd like to be in the Titan area of performance in Tri SLI with whatever cards will get me there.

780 SLI would be a nice setup, but will cost a grand.

I meant 2 way SLI more than enough for 2560x1600 resolution.

Right now, there are way too much options for you to go Tri SLI, and the gain from adding a third GPU is not much. I would personally go with 780 SLI and just stay there. By the time you will need more performance, there would be newer GPU's out there that would solve that problem for you in 2 way SLI, or the thrid 780 will be really cheap and you snag one more smile.gif
