5 successive black screens in the Apache chopper mission, 10 black screens at the exact same point in car chasing mission, 3 bs's in sniper mission at stadium, when zooming. Call of Duty Ghost

After an RMA I'm still having the same issues, I tried increasing fan speed, lowering the max temp on card, adding a spot fan, increasing the max voltage, nothing. This is dumb, I paid 600 dollars for a paperweight, and of course xfx says nothing is wrong and blames my rig.

Asus tech support:

"According to my experience, it should still be Driver compatibility issue."

I will wait for a new driver before doing anything...you should report this issue to AMD, so they know that it's a BIG problem.

Lie. Say you tested the card on various systems. That you have a crazy 2000W power supply and a LGA 2011 ASUS deluxe board.

I hope my replacement XFX card doesn't have the same problem. I want to void the warranty and install a waterblock so badly. Anyone know of a way to remove the two warranty stickers on the back of the card without ruining them?

I don't need to lie, I have an Asus 2011 socket board and a 1k watt power supply. And it works fine with 2 x gtx 670s in sli. I ran it for 3 weeks while waiting for an rma, not a single black screen.

Adding AUX voltage helps with memory oc, it might also help the ones crashing at stock. It's the voltage of the memory bus. I don't know if it helps core oc but I'm running 1550mhz memory with +50mv no black screens, with +0mv I can't even get 1450 without black screens.

Edit: 1575MHz memory now. tongue.gif Elpida here, not bad!

Maybe I should have just done that. Instead I rma'd my card and need to wait 2 weeks before receiving my replacement...

My black screen definitely has something to do with memory and voltage. What program are you using to set AUX voltage? AB? trixx?

My experience for anybody who can use the data is that my card black screens at stock no matter what I'm doing--benchmarking, gaming, even just on the desktop for 30 minutes or so. The only way I can avoid it is to set power limit % to 50. Works in either CCC or AB. With these settings I can actually overclock the core up to 1100 (with artifacts) or 1050 (stable). To be safe, I don't keep it there. Cannot overclock the memory. I cannot, either at stock or when overclocked, perform any mining at all for any time over 1 minute before I crash.

The weird thing is that I cannot increase my core voltage by any amount or I will get a black screen as soon as I start a game or benchmark. +10 mV even. I have to keep power at stock and set power limit at +50%.

I haven't tried decreasing memory clock, but at this point the card needs to be RMAd so I'm not going to bother.

For those who'd rather keep their black screening cards, I am able to play games stably by forcing constant voltage on in Afterburner. But then the cards always run at max clocks, yuck.

How do you find what VRAM you have without removing the cooler?
