BSOD all the time here. Tried multiple methods to "fix it" but nothing helps.

0xa0000001 atikmdag.sys -- > random BSOD all day long no matter what driver I use.

I might RMA my card and hope Newegg will let me get an Nvidia.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Can you try to disable hardware acceleration in Flash ? There seems to be a problem with that.

I guess your best bet is record it with your phone or video camera, and send it to them together with your card.

It's been a while since I last posted and I want to say a few things after testing the R9 290s on air, water and in different environments.

Originally I tested the graphics cards in December last year at sea level altitude and in a air conditioned room where they ran perfectly without any crashes.
At the moment I'm staying in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the average elevation is about 5000 feet above sea level and many things don't cool the same at this altitude, the graphics card quickly hit the 95 C° with frequent crashes. I had to resort to down clocking to keep them stable and monitored the temps, particular the VRM temps.

Right now I'm running them under water and without any freezes or crashes, only caused by my own doing playing with OCing.

In my opinion the black screens with looping sound is caused by the VRM or memory temps or just bad memory.

Also, I ran one graphics card at a time on a 750 watt PSU and that PC would just randomly restart while gaming which made me believe that the graphics card needs a PSU of 800+ watt since when I added more fans it would restart more frequently.

Hope this will people out.

And there is a third possibility , which they can just send the card back to you , claiming it works fine . smile.gif

Record the error, and write down the problem in details. If the black screen issue is terrible (i mean it black screens in a few mins), then probably they are going to replace it. But if it happens random , they may just send it back.

Call xfx after you fill a ticket. For some reason I had a completely different experience with xfx between the onli e support (terrible) to the phone service (excellent). I had to rma my r9 290 that bricked.

Good luck.
