ASUS 6950 bios switch - same bios on both positions?

Thread Starter
Hello, just a short question here. i have a ASUS EAH6950 reference card. Are the BIOS on the different positions of the switch the same (from factory)? Because i have read that the switch activates/deactivates DL DVI-D. Or doesn´t the BIOS have anything to do with the DVI-D beeing on/off at all? I´m asking because i need the DVI-D when i get my new monitor, and my bios is not the stock one.

Hope you understood the question smile.gif

no, it does not.

the switch is a backup bios in-case you like to flash, and it screws something up.

Also, in the case of vendors with OC models, the 1st position is stock, the second postition is the OCed bios.
