Is the Corsair Vengeance 1300 a good headset or are there better options?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a comfortable, good sound quality, reliable, and affordable headset to communicate with teammates in Battlefield 4 and Planetside 2. The Corsair Vengeance 1300 looks like a good option but there's a high percentage of two star and one star reviews on Newegg. So is the 1300 worth it or should I go for something else?

I remember hearing a Corsair rep say that one of the biggest challenges in the audio industry is convincing the public that your product is better than the almost identical products that everyone else is producing. If you ascribe to that logic, then the Vengeance 1300 are probably a good choice because its almost exactly the same all all the other $80 headsets.

I would strongly recommend against buying a hardware branded headset like what the con article says. I can only suggest looking at a pair of sennheiseer headphones. I've had two pairs in my life each of which served me for 5 years without any quality or comfort degredation. I recently bought a pair of raper 7.1 surround headphones as I wanted to try something else for a change....huge mistake.

The 7.1 is great however you get pretty much the same thing from circumaural senniess. But overall the build quality sound quality aesthetics and very importantly comfort is like comparing a ford focus to a Ferrari. Though a Ferrari is not very comfortable but you get my point. I don't know what I was thinking when I chose those over trusty sennheiseer. Best to stick to what you know.

Brands like razor corsair etc really have no business making gaming headphones, it does not serve the customer very well it's just so they can add another thing to their resume. Absolute rubbish dude stay away go sennheiseer or audio technica etc they have gaming headsets too check their website out.

Qpad headsets are also pretty good, mainly because they are Beyerdynamic-design.
But I still recommend headphones+mic.
