Hi Guys!

I'm currently in the market looking to pick up 2 24" monitors (Asus,Samsung) at about 100$ a piece thumb.gif

I have a Lenovo Y480, and from what I heard it only supports lcd + hdmi or lcd + vga , So the plan is.... to get a usb 3.0 to hdmi converter so that I can have 2 monitors working biggrin.gif

I was in the need of my fellow overclockers for some small advice, I'm a hard-core 2 day camping/online black friday shopper. I know obviously that most of the stuff sold on black friday is outdated junk. I wasn't able to get my monitors shipped out from the wal-mart crisis 3 days ago either, so when would you recommend picking up some monitors, and how much would you pay to call it a good deal? and where would you look for them? I hunting slickdeals min to min for some.

Also do you think that my set up would work with the usb 3.0 to hdmi converter?

Does Lenovo make a docking station for that particular laptop? I have 2 HP monitors that I use with my dell through a docking station It actually supports three external monitor so long as they're connected via display port. Can't really comment on the USB to HDMI as I don't have any experience there.

Wow, I just tested a friends dual monitors. It WORKS! I connected one via VGA the second one through HDMI. I turned off my laptop monitor and set the HDMI one to main display and it both worked properly. Although they were different brands monitors, one was more brighter than the other (vga) - (hdmi). I plan on getting two of the same and see how it goes.
