Completed (Appraisal: SLI 780 + 3930k Sig Rig)

Hi OCN,

I am looking at selling my sig rig as I simply have not turned it on in over 2 months and really don't like the idea of it siting there doing nothing.

2 months ago I purchased the GTX 780's brand new and play a few hours of Skyrim and that's it! So I feel like its a massive waste of money and space in my room.

The PC is working perfectly, I look after it very well. No damage or problems. Here are the components and what I paid in AUD for them and the date of purchase.

To see my rig follow this link, Ive kept it all up to date.

Here is my gallery, it does not have my 780's in there, ill have to take some newer pics if I decide to sell.

Part list below

CPU: Intel Core i7 3930k (Never Overclocked)
CPU COOLER: Corsair H100
MOBO: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
GPU1: EVGA GTX 780 SuperClocked with ACX Cooler
GPU2: EVGA GTX 780 SuperClocked with ACX Cooler
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z 16GB Quad ( 4 x 4GB)
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB
OS: NONE
PSU: Corsiar AX1200
CASE: CoolerMaster HAF-X (Black)

Im only really interested in selling it as a whole unit, i cant be bothered selling individual parts :/

The total ive spent is $4,019.78AUD for the above parts.

Thanks All, any questions are welcome smile.gif.

As an honest appraisal, you are probably going to make back 2/3 of what you put into the system, or if you try to sell locally (here in the US we have craigslist) you may be able to sell it to someone for what you paid(maybe even more than what you paid if you wait long enough to find the right buyer) as many people nowadays are lazy and even though they want to get into PC gaming, they are too lazy to build it themselves and spend the time researching each part and whatnot.

just my 2cents.gif

Side note, you did very well with the cable management and the build looks very clean and color coordinated. Well done thumb.gif

EDIT: Fixed a spelling error

If you were in the US/Canada, based on similar parts I have sold or purchased recently I would think about $2,300US +shipping. I don't know what inflation Australia has.

About $2100 USD local imo.

Thanks for the input guys, Im thinking of advertising here on OCN and most likely also on ebay, happy to ship overseas.

Also zemco999, the cable management is even neater now, I re did everything when the new GPU's were installed, I ripped out everything that I didnt think was necessary, including the front panel power and reset USB etc, also they can be refitting, they are just hidden at the moment.

I really think you should consider selling locally, as you will be getting the most money selling to someone who is scared to or is too lazy to build their own PC. If you decide to try OCN first though, then good luck on the sale!! thumb.gif

I agree that you sell it locally, I would try for around $3000 AUD on a site like gumtree

Ill look at some local places, the trouble is they aren't as big as in the States so the reach isn't as far but I defiantly understand where you are coming from.

Ill advertise on ebay and Gumtree and perhaps Craigslist.
