Increasing Graphics VRAM?

Thread Starter
Hi there, I'm curious. I have a 5870 2gb and a 6970 2gb, I was wondering if I could use the 5870 to increase the VRAM on my 6970? If this is possible how could I do it. If not, why not?
Thanks for your help in advance, Kodie.

I think the reason that this isn't possible usually is due to the major reworking needed on the PCB in order to integrate the RAM. Let's hope someone can answer this question knowledgeably however smile.gif

dont think its possible no, youd need to buy a card with more vram. WHat res are you at that needs more than 2gb by the way? Also welcome to OCN!

Yea, you will need another pcb.

So it's impossible.
