Hot VRM on M5A99X EVO Rev1.0...Any Ideas?

Hey guys,

I think i've posted on this subject a while back but i dont think it got any answers so i'll see what you guys can come up with this time.

So I run my system as it is in my sig, overclocked to 4.2Ghz and my VRM on the motherboard gets very hot. I know they can normally run hot but i was wondering if there was something i missed in how to cool them down a tad. I used to use a 80mm fan sitting over the sinks but in this case i can't really fit that fan in there without it colliding with the rear fan on the case.

Any ideas on how to cool them down or do you think the boards getting to the end of its life having been overclocked heavily for over a year?

A small fan maybe a 60mm is probably gonna be your cheapest option. Look for an antec spot cool that might work for you.
