Steamroler CPU can not fail no doubt, Fail was reserved for the first practically incomplete Bulldozer CPU design(+ Globalfoundries bad CPU Yield)+ very poor product marketing and then you got Fail product. wink.gif

Everything can fail.

But to me it is looking like the pieces of a puzzle are finally coming together for amd. I guess people having fx cpus, a apus and gcn gpus are going to get more from them than they ever thought.

computer manufactures make bank by ripping tech ignorent people.

This. It cracks me up when I do side work for people and they want to buy a dell or hp with integrated graphics because "their kids want to play the newest games on pc." I can't believe no one calls them out on this kind of crap.

It can still fail if floating point calcs aren't offloaded to the IGPU properly. This is an OS thing.

Right now it's supposed ~800GFlops , which is ~HD7750 at stock clocks (720Mhz).

If that ran without Mantle then I'm impressed.
