Should I overclock and warercool my GTX580's SLI or buy new cards? - Page 4

Same question but only for GTX 570 SLI. I'm looking at 290, Is it worth an upgrade for a 2560x1440 gaming on max?

Upgrade the monitor, not the GPU. Use 1920x1200, 2304x1440, 2560x1600, or my personal favorite, 2880x1800. Don't use a 16:9 television.

How is that gonna improve the performance in games?

570 SLI performance is at about 680 level. A 290 would perform quite better, especially at 1440p.
