[HELP] mobo for i7 4770k under $180 - Page 2

Check out the gigabyte z87x-oc. Especially if you have not purchased your CPU yet. Its currently on new egg for around $185. With $30 rebate. Brings it down to $155. But if you get the combo with the 4770k you also get an additional $35 discount. Bringing the cost of board and CPU to $440 after rebate ($470 before rebate). Plus new egg tosses in a $20 gift card on top of that.

If it has the features you want/need I would say it would be one to add to your options. I don't personally own the board but there is a thread/owners group on this forum that would be worth a read. It seems to be a good reliable board according to the reviews I've read and the info that is the mentioned thread.

Gigabyte Z87X D3H is a good and cheap board the UD3H/UD4H have a few more features but i doubt they will OC better than the D3H

Do you personally find the differences between the D3H and UD3H worth it?

I'm stuck between choosing either of these two to go along a 4670K.
Final prices for me are $166 (UD3H) vs $139 (D3H - excluding the $20 MIR).
Trying to decide between these or maybe the MSI G45 or ASRock Extreme4 but the reviews for those are always going back and forth.

I'm not really planning on doing heavy overclocking (planning on taking it to around 4.0-4.5).

Well the differences are the board buttons (power on, reset, clear bios and voltage reading points) I am sure the performance is the same if these do not make a difference for you go with the D3H thumb.gif
