Whats your thoughts about this? I see more and more interest in some kind of aio solution for gpus...

I'm not so sure. You can just do "the mod" if you want, but most aftermarket coolers are so good these days you almost don't even need liquid cooling on them.

GPU AIO watercooling has been a thing for a while, it was just never that popular, probably because it's much more expensive.

Zotac had a water cooled GTX 580, so did PNY. The Asus Ares II is cooled by an AIO system too. I even seem to remember that Sapphire tried doing it with the 3870 X2 back in the day.
