I've had one in my mini ITX gaming rig for about 5 months now.
It's on about 100 hours a week, and I've had no real issues thus far. It can occasionally be a little slow to access files, but even storing my steam library on there I have no real complaints. So far it has been a solid drive. thumb.gif

I know, but for those that need one right now the price are not bad. Also some people would not buy 3tb (me) because I need some serious storage space.

I think I might also wait it out and see what black Friday has to offer!

I have that 4tb Seagate and I leave my computer on 24/7. Have had it for... 6-7 months I wanna say. It's good as a archival drive.

Oh, I leave that pesky HDD power off thing disabled.

it's approaching the time that i'll be looking for a new drive. my 1tb is 2 yrs old and getting full. it's actually upgraded from a 750gb so technically i've only used about 200gb the last 2 years.
not sure whether to get a 2, 3 or 4tb. the one thing i don't like about my hdd is that it's a little slow even for a 7200rpm drive. i throw files in a big DOWNLOAD folder and that folder is 557GB. and it takes a while for it to figure itself out when i click on it when arranging files by size or date created. so anything less than a 7200rpm would be a downgrade.

my pic folder is 8gb and that too is starting to slow down. i had to move all my pics from the DOWNLOADS folder to their own pic subfolder within DOWNLOADS cause they were really slowing down the whole DOWNLOADS folder.
my DOWNLOADS folder is like a history folder in my computer where i have all files and websites downloaded and when arranged by date i can see a timeline all the way back to 2002..
