GPU Boost 2.0 on an ASUS 660TI 2GB?

Thread Starter
I have read a few articles talking about how it is possible to flash a 700 series BIOS onto 600 series cards to enable the features of GPU Boost 2.0 and am very interested in trying to get it to work for my own video card.

As it stands right now, I have already used KGB to unlock and flash the BIOS which gives me a nice overclock of about 1200MHz. The problem I am having with it is that it only hits about 74C and once I am running a game for a few minutes it will get throttled by the power limit and the speeds will drop down a bit to the 1000-1100MHz range with occasional jumps back into the 1200MHz range. I feel that if I had the option to set my temp limits to the 80-85C range and allow for it do draw more power I would be able to push my OC further or at least have it remain solid at 1200MHz.

The issue I am having right now is actually finding more information on this and I just can't find it anywhere. I think what I would need to find is a BIOS from an ASUS 760 card? If that is the case, I don't even know what modifications I would need to make to the BIOS, if any.

If anybody here has any insight on this or would be able to link me to information that might be useful to me it would be greatly appreciated. I did a bit of reading early this week and just spent a solid 2-3 hours today looking to figure out what I would need but haven't had any luck. Posting here has been my last option so I am really hoping somebody can help me out.

Ive been wondering the same thing too. I have a msi 660 ti power edition overclocked to 1306MHz core clock. I made a thread about gpu boost 2.0 on 600 series as well, but people say that its not possible on anything other than a GTX 680 frown.gif

.

Impressive overclock. How did you manage to get it that high without power limit throttling?

I guess I was just lucky. I also have a modded BIOS on my 660 ti. I did a mod so I have my Corsair H100 cooling it as well so max temps hit around 48C.
