Drainage system

Hey guys I have a female g1/4 fitting that I want to use for my drainage system but I don't know what to buy.

I would like to get a male g1/4 quick disconnect but they all seem to be female... How do I build it I have a female port on my pump that isn't being used

So I'm going to use the other side as a drain but can't find the part, I'm looking at dazmode.com

I dont know for sure. But it looks like that is an alternate out port.. You need both ends for a quick disconnect. you need the threaded sidet to be either male or female , than the other side to open it up with a length of tubing to use as a drain spout.. The one thing I don't know about.. If you have both ends open and turn on the pump it just wont send out the drain.. You might need to put a "valve" on the regular out port.. keep it open during normal operation. Than close it when you wanna drain it out... It sounds like a great idea...

You got me thinking about my own setup. I have a valve not b eing used.. I have a front output I could plump I just don't know the effects of not having it plugged, even thou coolant would not flow through it freely. I would think it would effect flow or pressure somehow.. even if I put a vlaveor quick disconnect a foot or two away from the port. That way I still have a clean presentable pump.. good luck with your idea. Keep me updated..Or send an IM when finished. I wouldbe intrested in seeing the end result.

Thanks for the ideas, so to elaborate on what I'm doing this is how I'm mounting my res and pump,

Then the port will go under the radiator to the empty slot out the front

In theory it will be a great idea I just need a male quick disconnect to plug in there
