This. My MX518 has been solid, reliable and comfortable (not keen on the click sounds but thats not a show stopper).
For me a mouse has to be the best hardware and ergonomics.
Drivers and customization suites do not come into it at all. Most times the software is just bloat and per game buttons can be mapped ((enough for me)) in game anyway. Furthermore given that many and a soon to be growing number of people game on Linux, SteamOS and both are free, then VFM cant include best software suite ATM because it exclusively means you have to own a paid expensive copy of Windows as the custom extra software from logitech, razer, roccat etc.. don't work on Linux.
hardware and ergonomics are all that matter to me with mice and given certain established standards you could even just narrow that down to plain ergonomics... ergo the MX518 is still a contender
