You can usually find even G.Skill 2400MHz on sale on Newegg for around $73, it's not too far off from normal. Pretty much 1600MHz-2400MHz costs around the same price ($70-80 for 8GB) unless you go with a company that overcharges you for certain products (Corsair).

Some updates here, I have switched up the pump/res combo and will be likely going with a swiftech mcp35x and using the matching swiftech res. The setup is less expensive than the EK setup, and gives me more inlet options on the res. I'd like to go for a full bitspower modkit with a black pump top and gold pump cover, but that can be quite pricey.

Also, looking for some feedback on the tubing/loop setup. I have tried searching for some other gold/black themed builds but there don't seem to be too many out there. I have looked at the murderbox build to see what they did, but I don't know if it would work in my case/setup. Looking for some opinions on these options:

a) black tubing with gold fittings, clear coolant
b) clear tubing with black fittings, gold coolant
c) black fittings with a third coolant color, something to contrast the black gold theme

I have tried to find some other builds but this is surprisingly a little-used color scheme it seems like. Thanks for all the input!
