Can This System Overclock?

Hey guys, my first post.

I'm looking to over-clock my e6600 to 3ghz (no more). I hear it runs cool enough to be OC'ed with the stock fan (which is beastly looking).

Take a gander at my system specs below to see what I'm working with.

I suppose my question has two parts:

1. Can a 430w power supply support my system @ an OC'ed 3ghz (with 80mm fans x4, HHD x2, DVD player)? And,

2. My ram has no heatsinks on it.

The airflow in my case is very nice. I have 3 fans blowing in, one fan blowing out the top. All the air coming out is very cool, even after hours of heavy gaming. Also, my power supply has a 120mm fan -- all the air out of it is also very cool. I used to own an AMD system and it would belch out enough hot air to heat my apartment in the dead of winter (no joke, it's how I stayed warm)!

Any suggestions, comments, questions are welcome! Thanks guys!

Sounds like you'll be spending more money on heating then

Can you find out how many Amps are on the 12v rail on that PSU? There should be a sticker on the PSU with all these wattage and voltage ratings.

And your overclock that you want shouldn't be hard.

Set RAM multiplier to 2.00, FSB to 333. Test for stability with 6 hours + of Orthos stress testing. Job done.

You'd probably be able to lower vCore too. I'm running 333FSB (2.3GHz) at 1.2v, down from a stock voltage of 1.325v

edit: welcome to overclock.net

I got Orthos stress tester, I'm gonna go fiddle with the bios now and I'll report back as to how things go.

Thanks for your help + welcome.
