How do I reduce mouse sensitivity with software without losing accuracy?

When I google how to control DPI or mouse sensitivity through software I cannot find any suggestions. All I find are haters saying it makes the mouse less precise because it multiplies the movement instead of detecting it. I don't think that would be a problem for me since my mouse DPI is higher than I want. Unfortunately the mouse only has 3 settings. The slowest is too slow and the middle one is too fast. Is there some software that would work in Windows and games that would allow me to leave the mouse on setting #2 but slow it down a smidge?

Thanks in advance!!!

Try setting it to the closet setting on the mouse then go to windows mouse settings and tweak it there.

You don't sacrifice presicion by reducing the sensitivity by software.
