For the first time ever, we actually have 2 systems with "similar" hardware but, their capabilities are still worlds apart.
They'll tone down the rendering for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but, even between generations, that's completely different code.
Not having a PC port would actually spread them out too thin because right now, they're coding for 4 completely different systems, already...Not 2 + a PC port. 4.
It is what it is.

They made massive mistakes in the past but this is just stupid on so many levels.
I quote myself...See above.
At this moment, there are 5 major ports. Xbox 360, Xbox one, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 AND the PC.
Each of those system ports require COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PROGRAMMING.
It is 100% understandable, at this time, that a company would not have the resources to port to 5 different systems...
There's also 100x the sales on a console then there will ever be on the PC. Sales are king. We are not.
So, stupidity in regards to PC gamers? Maybe...Stupidity in regards to being profitable and actually doing business? Hell no.
