[Various] 780Ti quality control problems? - Page 18

Just to set the record straight - BF4 scales very well with Nvidia SLI. I've tested and confirmed this myself.

In BF4 at 2560x1440, Ultra Settings, 4xMSAA:

(1) EVGA GTX 780 Ti - Average FPS: 70-80
(2) EVGA GTX 780 Ti in SLI - Average FPS: 140-150

I'll provide some proof from my testing when I get home.

who care about benchmark score and who is in front for 1/127 of a freaking fps, this attitude is pathetic. these are made to game , only real life perf matter , not a benchmark score were everything in the driver has been messed with just for epeen.
if you just want a big number at the end of a program , just photoshop your damn result , it will be cheaper ,....

i have also near 100% scaling on my 280x crossfire (on the other hand i have an nvidia card unable to run bf4 at stock settings because of crappy driver) , so if you wanted to use that has a point it's failed already , just forget it and accept that everyone had their bad experience with one or the other brand and everyone is totally biased anyway.

the r9-290/290x can multimonitor just fine.

but you're right the other radeon cards cannot.

as to your other point, that the performance varries per title, that's true of SLi as well. Due to the excessive issues of xfire, some people have forgotten that SLi isn't perfect. It is largely buggy and inconsistent with generally poor scaling. It just wasn't as broken as xfire was, so people started to think of it as flawless. Well it is not, and as xfire is repared, a number of the issues with SLi remain. Which should be troubling to everyone as the general experience with SLi has not improved in years.

70 and 140 would give 100% scaling on Nvidia cards biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif
Those tests are on single player I hope otherwise garbage bin since you can't really compare them.
