Very much this.

Also, have GTX480 SLi both under water running at 860 core on stock volts and BF4 Beta ran like poo on them, dunno if it was just Beta that was like that.

But at what resolution? and how much Vram does your card have? is it double the standard?

SLi 480's I would imagine would leave you underneath the 60fps mark on ultra settings if my imagination serves me correctly. It should have enough horsepower on high setting, but ultra would probably require newer GPU.

1080p and it was 3gb.

I have 7950 @ 1100/1575 which is same as 7970 ghz edition performance.I can max out BF4 @ 1080p but i get the occasional drops under 60fps but the average is around 65-70fps. Your cards i presume have simular performance to mine .Unfortunately for you,I use 2,200MB on Ultra.Your cards have way below that so even if your frames are simular to mine, your VRAM will bottleneck it.
High settings is what I think you'll be able to play on,no Ultra or atleast Ultra with no MSAA or HBAO.

So i obviously ran into Vram limitation then, i didnt even monitor VRam usage as i just gave up after my rig couldnt cope.
I almost bought a 580 Classified few months back as Scan in UK where selling them off cheap, very nice card with very beefy power circuit, capable of mashing a few PSU' i bet.

yeah it was a monster, I now have a 680 classified and I must say the performance between the 2 was very close. the 680 is obviously better but it was close.

The GTX 480 has an overall average set of GPU stats, when compared to other high-end graphics cards. The exception here is its impressive number of transistors per die. The highest end Radeon card has 334 million transistors on a 2154 mm2 die, whereas the GTX 480 has 3 billion transistors on a 529 mm2 die. That is a huge difference.thumb.gif

That must have been a huge rock you've been living under.
