So... I just ordered one of these. Shouldn't be too long until I get it - was seriously fed up with running VMs on a mechanical disk.

Will post some benchmarks for those who'd like to wait in angst...

It's gonna be night and day mate, night and day. I can run 15- 20 VMs (low priority ones) no issue on my 480GB Sandisk Extreme 2...a HDD barely handled 2 for me. lol

What do you plan on running?

This is just for my desktop PC running VMWare workstation - sick of running my applications to test in them and it takes FOREVER, not to mention the Microsoft app verifier and other SDK tools which take FOREVER.

My production VMs running on Hyper-V are chugging along nicely on mechanical RAID arrays...

The Samsung 840 EVO series are definitely the best bang for buck SSD's out there.

The best random read speeds and very high random writes even compared to the 840 Pro.

The 840 Pro of course beats out the 840 EVO on writes, but on reads, the 840 EVO outperforms the 840 Pro sometimes.

Also the bigger the storage on the SSD gets, the more speed advantages you get out of it.

Is it worthy to buy 2nd one?

I am very happy with my EVO 1TB SSD, but I wonder if having 2nd one will make a difference?? Even better?

Thanks!
Why do you want another is the question. If you want more room then yes. If you want twice the speeds with RAID 0 then yes.

Will it make a difference in daily use when in RAID 0? Not much, unless you need more room.
