AMD doesn't have to get intel, nor nVidia on board, they already have all these developers on board whom been asking for such things. Eventually, those other companies will have to adopt mantle to be competitive. And again... u seem all angry because you like to cheerlead instead of benefits. AMD produced an API that will be adopted by the best video game ever and be used more & more because it offers a performance gain and ease in the game industry.
Why is that so hard to understand..?
Yes, I know the link.
You are the one who are confused with what IS, and what people SAY they WANT it to be.
I know that AMD doesn't have to get Intel or nVidia on board. I know they got developers on board. I've said that. But YOU have to realize that AMD only holds a 30% market share in the PC desktop video card market share. Do you HONESTLY think that those developers will make a "Mantle Only" game and cut out 70% of the their potential buyers? Heck, do you think that those same developers will even just say "You know, Mantle is great and NVPAI and DirectX suck, so I won't make my game good for 70% of the buyers."? Really?
The reason why I want Mantle to support Intel and nVidia is because I *HATE* Microsoft.
AMD *LOVES* Microsoft. They have to. AMD stands to make BILLIONS off Microsoft and the XBox One.
I personally would love to see Mantle be taken up by AMD, nVidia, and Intel, and EVERYONE get the same 5%, 15%, 20%, or even 2765% performance increase OVER DIRECTX.
I would then really wet myself if Mantle was ACTUALLY made to run on Linux. Why? Because then I really could DITCH MICROSOFT.
So PLEASE, don't confuse my purchasing of 6 nVidia cards over the past 3 years as being an nVidia fanboy .... I've owned about 27 ATI/AMD cards (and STILL OWN them to this day) in my lifetime ... or me setting the record straight as to what Mantle is RIGHT NOW.

It's a great game to be sure. Not really my cup of tea. It's like GTV. Great game, and lots of people bought it. But to me, the whole "military shooter" genre is even more over populated than that of MMO's.
