have all the evidence they need. You go on believing AMD paid the devs off with their vast reserves of cash, i'll live in the real world where what has been revealed so far indicates substantial benefits.
Nope, and I'm not contractually obligated to believe a single word that comes out of their mouth, buy their card, or their game.
Isn't it wonderful how that works?
I too live in the real world. I've been working for a company for the past 24 years that makes custom software and we have a team of programmers (I used to be one myself until I got into management and got paid MUCH better) and in this case, know that much of what a company's PR department puts out is often BS unless they back it with proof, and that often times, awards and user reports aren't worth the paper they are printed on because they have been bought with discounts and contributions.
One year at the National Association of Broadcasters, our company basically made a $5000 contribution, and as a result, we won a "Best of show' award for one of our new products. If you don't think that sort of stuff happens all the time, then your world isn't as real as you THINK it is.
I have no doubt that Mantle will be more efficient, but honestly, I am tired of "promises" and "indications". I wanna see numbers. Until I see hard numbers from objective people who haven't been paid off and aren't on the payroll, they aren't going to see a penny from me.
