Which mousepad for ultra precision with Death Adder 2013? - Page 2

i own a 2013 DA, QcK Heavy and a Red Soft Artisan Hein
im going to have to say I like the tracking on the Red Hein much better than the Black QcK Heavy, the LOD is lower too.

LOD = "lift off distance"

It's the height the mouse stops tracking when you lift it and it hovers above the mouse pad.

so I got to try the QcK+
jeez that thing is like half a sqm large and it smells so bad....even the skin smells of these chemicals afterwards....
I think it will have to go back, although I really like the smoothness of the mousepad....
funnily enough it somehow threw my aim in-game off but I guess that can be adjusted to

Does the Red Hein smell this bad too?

That smell will go away eventually, but no idea how fast that will happen. tongue.gif

guys I finally got round to ordering an Artisan Hein!
it's flipping awesome, it has roughly the same gliding speed as my old mousepad but it's 200 times smoother.
it feels great
such amazing. many precision. wow!

and it doesn't stink of chemicals like the QCK which actually transferred that chemical waste color onto my skin iirc lol.

I love my Hein, but there's nothing like the QCK+ or Heavy for control. That smell does go away. Usually within a week or so.

I actually like the control of the Heavy, yet it works great.
Generally.. up to a certain point mousepads are preference.

I'd for sure dislike a cloth pad with literally zero friction.
