So....I am starting this new thread since I am changing the current build so much. This isn't a change out of need, but rather addiction. I have just started ordering the HOF, and waiting for the blocks to be released by EK. Then, over the next few months, I am replacing the mobo, CPU, RAM, adding another 780, swapping out a radiator, adding a second PSU, and changing sleeving colors.

Let the re-build of the re-build begin.

Current Status:

System:

i5 - 3570K @ 4.8GHz
Asus Maximus V Extreme
Mushkin Redline 7-8-7-24 4x4GB
PowerColor HD 7990
Samsung 840 PRO 256GB SSD
Western Digital Black 2TB HDD
Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W
Asus DVD/CD Burner
Razer Deathadder 3.5G
Dell MX 23" LED monitor
Dell MX 23" LED monitor
Dell MX 23" LED monitor

Case:
Corsair 900D
HDD cages removed (SSD and HDD mounted in top optical bays)
Stealthed DVD drive
Floor installed (Plexi covered in carbon fiber overlay)
2x Corsair AFL 120mm fans (front)
2x Cooler Master Excalibur 120mm (HDD cooling)
Sleeved in MDPC Lime Green, White, Grey and some black

Cooling:
NZXT Sentry Mesh fan controller (internal)
Koolance HL 480mm radiator (bottom side mount)
4x Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm Silent red LED fans
Alphacool UT60 360mm radiator (top)
3x Cooler Master FetFlo 120mm white LED fans
Internal water temperature LCD readout
Swiftech Apogee HD CPU Block - white
EK HD 7990 Acetal + Nickel Full cover water block with backplate RAM cooler
Alphacool UT60 140mm 60mm thick radiator - rear mount
Bitspower Z-Multi 250 full acrylic reservoir
Swiftech MCP-655 variable pump
EK D5 X-Top pump top
PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT 3/8"x5/8" tubing (Bloodshed red )
All Bitspower Fittings

I am essentially swapping out the 7990 for 2 GTX 780 HOFs in SLI, exchanging the bottom 480mm radiator for a 240mm to make room for a 2nd PSU, changing sleeving, swapping out the 1155 socket mobo for a 2011 socket and a 4930k, and replacing the RAM to match. The second PSU will power the system, HDDs, pump, and fans. Original 1050w PSU will power the GPUs, since they can pull close to 500w at full load.

When Finished:

System:

i7 - 4930K @ 4.5GHz
Asus X79 Deluxe (repaint all heatsinks)
32GB Mushkin Blackline 2133MHz 10-11-11-33 8x4GB
Galaxy GTX 780 Hall of Fame Edition @ 1219MHz GPU & 1629 MHz RAM OC
Galaxy GTX 780 Hall of Fame Edition @ 1219MHz GPU & 1629 MHz RAM OC
Samsung 840 PRO 256GB SSD
Western Digital Black 2TB HDD
Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W
Cooler Master Silent Pro 600W
Asus DVD/CD Burner
Razer Deathadder 3.5G
Dell MX 23" LED monitor
Dell MX 23" LED monitor
Dell MX 23" LED monitor

Case:
Corsair 900D
HDD cages removed (SSD and HDD mounted in top optical bays)
Stealthed DVD drive
Floor installed (Plexi covered in carbon fiber overlay)
2x Corsair AFL 120mm fans (front)
2x Cooler Master Excalibur 120mm (HDD cooling)

Cooling:
NZXT Sentry Mesh fan controller (internal)
Alphacool UT60 240mm radiator (bottom side)
4x Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm Silent green LED fans (push pull on above rad)
Alphacool UT60 360mm radiator (top)
3x Cooler Master FetFlo 120mm white LED fans
Internal water temperature LCD readout
Swiftech Apogee HD CPU Block - white
EK GTX 780 White HOF water block

So I ordered new sleeving today. Since the GTX 780 HOF Edition has a white board, and the block that EK will be releasing is supposed to be white, I am going to make white a prime color. I don't think I will buy a backplate unless they release a matching white backplate. I ordered white, grey, and toxic green sleeving from MDPC today. Should be here in a few weeks. I am contemplating painting the inside of the 900D white. Colors are below:

I'm waiting for another Cooler Master PSU to go on sale. I am not necessarily stuck to the CM brand, but my other PSU is CM, so I would like to keep the same connectors so I can leave the cables routed where they are at and simply move the plugs to the other one. Once my sleeving gets here this week, I will make extensions for the 24-pin, 8-pin CPU, and 4 8-pin PCI-E. I will also do the front panel connectors and sleeve new sata cables. I do the extensions because it is much easier and cheaper than sleeving an ENTIRE PSU. Plus, I know that only a few inches of the cables are seen, and with extensions, my system is never down while I sleeve cables.

So no updates yet, kid is keeping me busy. I did use Skyne3t's bios revision to unlock the voltage past 1.1 to 1.21. Got my numbers up a bit higher. With just the single air cooled 780 HOF and a 3570k

Purchased a set of Mushkin 4x4GB 2400 MHz Blackline RAM yesterday. I will update once it comes in!

Got the RAM today. Was playing with overclocks. Got the CPU to 4.853GHz, the GPU to 1314MHz and the GPU RAM to 1604MHz. RAM now runs at 2400Mhz.

After working back and forth for an hour, I finally got Firestrike to clear 10k! On an i5!

Are you selling that 7990?

It is already sold, sorry guys!

On that note...what do you guys think of this thought: I buy the white and chrome block for the HoF I have now, and then I buy an MSI Lightning, and get the black and chrome block for that, so I have a black and white combo for the cards...thoughts?
