[KitGuru] AMD’s Project Discovery sneak peak - Page 4

Really? AMD's brand awareness outside of the PC gaming crowd is quite low. I wish they'd run an ad once in a while.

It would be absolutely pointless to provide reference designs for Mullins given the attitude OEMs have shown towards Temash.

this.
Sorry AMD

I agree, I would love to see AMD push out some of their own devices designed around these fantastic concepts they've created. However, that may damage their already less-than-stellar relationship with OEMs since they would now be direct competitors. According to AMD, their cat core products are selling pretty good so why damage that by trying to pump out their own products under a name with terrible brand recognition.

I'm talking about sort of name recognition in reverse. As it is in that design it just looks sexy. I bet brand awareness will rise rapidly especially with AMD and Gaming Evolved in millions of living room on consoles. I think if it was sitting on the shelf people would have their hands all over it.

Besides a gaming tablet it's a fantastic design. Project Discovery sounds like it could be some more awesomeness. biggrin.gif
