Do you really call an average of 18 to 20 fps @ 5760 x 1080 when using a single 290x good gaming performance regarding the games I had mentioned? I think not, except for Metro: Last Light runs at 30fps (@ 5760 x 1080) when using a single 290x which is not good enough for me (but maybe for others
)...You'll still need 2
290x cards to run those games I had mention smooth which will cost you $1,100
...I would rather spend the extra $300
for the 780 TI SLI(runs smoother than dual Crossfire & faster
) but again, that's me
Now if I was only aiming for the single card, I would take the 290x over the 780 TI.

If your 480's are satisfying your gaming needs, why upgrade? If they are working perfectly, keep running those green fellas until you really need to upgrade...& that's my
...In other words, I recommend that you continue to be patient & wait.Edited by drBlahMan - 11/14/13 at 8:28pm
