2560x1440 via HDMI with Nvidia GTX 765M

Thread Starter
I just wanted to confirm that I'd be able to run at 2560x1440 resolution on my Laptop via HDMI (the laptop only has HDMI and VGA out) to a 1440p monitor.

Though the monitor product page claims HDMI won't work, I've gotten conflicting impressions from around the internet. I won't be doing any gaming at that resolution (I'd tone it down to 1080p, all the 765M can handle), but I wanted 1440p for normal use.

Would I need to find a 1440p monitor with an HDMI 1.4 input, or could I use an HDMI > DVI-D adapter with a DVI-D-only monitor?

Thanks!

You will need a different monitor because the adapters wont work on those monitors. They have different versions of that monitor if you search for it this one has a hdmi port and there might be more versions.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll have to get a monitor with HDMI input then.
