Gigabyte H77N Boot cycles?

Thread Starter
So pieced together a

Gigabyte H77N
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4338#ov

An i5 2500k
Asus 7850
3 different types of ram (1333,1600,1866)
2 different PSU's (700w,1000w)
Stock CPU cooler an

Tried 1 ram stick at a type, the cpu is seated correctly, and everything was plugged in correctly.
Every time I try starting the computer the power supply turns on along with cpu fan and graphics card fan very briefly then clicks off. Maybe 1-2 seconds. Then repeats.
Anyone have any ideas I can try or something super obvious I'm missing? This has been a horrible past months regarding computer hardware not wanting to work!

Is the motherboard defective? The CPU PSU GPU and ram have all been in a previous build so I know work.

There's no reason why it shouldn't work. Reseat the cpu again and check for bent pins.
You could also try removing the gpu and try booting with the integrated graphics.
Is it mounted in a case? Maybe its shorting somewhere
