hey guys, im in the process of overclocking my 3770k, and temps have been holding me back IMO.
currently have a hyper 212+ with a single ultra kaze pushing from the front
AFAIK, my only choices are
-get a better air cooler
-upgrade to closed water loop
i really dont wanna delid (call me a pansy) and i feel like closed loops can be matched by elite air coolers, so will upgrading to a more brolic () air cooler such as phanteks, noctua, be quiet! and etc be my best choice here? if i go this route, i'ma get some matching fans on (insert heatsink here) and throw my ultra kaze as top rear exhaust.
[ideally, i wanna be able to reach 1.45v without temps holding me back, my 212+ hits the high 80s (p95 loads of course) at 1.33 already]
how much realistic temp drops will i be seeing if i upgrade the air cooler?
will i still be hitting high temps regardless of how powerful the air cooler is just because of the "not delidded" standpoint?
what are the elite air coolers as of today? [noise, aesthetics, price does not matter]
