Might want to merge with this Tegra Note 7 review/discussion thread.

My take: delayed update( 4.4 already out for Nexus, but 4.3 for Tegra Note 7 have to wait until December), more weight, worse screen(resolution, brightness & contrast) and worse battery life trades you pen support , SD card, cheaper price & tegra 4 performance. Not something I would ever consider buying over Nexus 7, but certainly have its appeals.

So the Ipad air is better in everything but costs quite a lot more and doesn't run android
I'm not in the market for a tablet but this is a very strong yet affordable product I suppose.

I am also on the market for a tablet and seems Ipad Mini or Air is my target.

If I finally buy a tablet I think this may seal the deal

The 1280x800 display AND Tegra 4 means better gaming performance

The $200 price point is exceptional

I love the rubber gripping

MicroSD (is this really a feature - it should be standard!)

good set of multimedia speakers

If there's one downside it's the 1GB of DDR3... but this is something a naked ROM can overcome

Only 1GB of RAM and USB 2.0? Kinda dropped the ball.

Ipad Air is a much larger tablet and cost 2.5X as much, don't have front facing speakers or native stylus support, this is certainly not aimed to compete in the same market segment.
